We have abandoned ship! Well...not entirely, just our boot camp style. You now hate the potty... won't go near it. I called Grandma Schmidt 3 times on day 1 for advice (once while she was teaching her 1st graders...I was desperate.)
After circling the block last week wondering what we should do, Daddy and I decided to let you wear pull-ups during the day with "special" trips to the potty, then let you go naked when we are both home and can tag team the disasters. It will take longer to train you, but we just might come out of this with our sanity in tact. I went out and got you 2 fun potty videos and that seems to have warmed you up to going near the potty again. You love to get into the toilet paper and use it appropriately...just not on the potty. I am pretty sure you know what to do, you just don't want to do it. You are very headstrong and do NOT like to be told what to do. So, we are going to do this gradually. Slow and steady wins the race. Daddy and I hope this works!
