Trouble Maker

Mommy forgot to shoot the video the correct way again. This is too funny to not share though! Makaia was a little sneaky a few days ago. I was on the phone and I turned around to see that she had taken over Hana's doggy bed. At the beginning of the video, you'll see that she gets really excited...she does that EVERYtime that she is doing something that she shouldn't or is getting into something that she knows she is not supposed to have. She is a sweet little girl so it's hard not to laugh when she is being a little trouble maker.

First Bubble Bath

Makaia took her first bubble bath last Thursday. We also used the bath mat on the bottom of the tub for the 1st time. It has Elmo on it so she was a little intrugued by what was underneath her!

MAKAIA WALKS!!!

What a crazy day yesterday! The backstory to this video is that she has shown no interest in walking. She crawls everywhere and stands up on everything, but when we hold her hands to help her walk, she didn't seem coordinated enough to take some steps. Imagine our surprise last night to see her stand up with her ride-on bus (it has wheels so she hasn't been strong enough to keep it still.) I walked over to help her because I didn't want her falling back and hitting her head, and SHE TOOK OFF WALKING! I don't know where she got her skills. She acted like she had been doing it for months. By the time I grabbed the camera, she was using the bus like an old-granny walker. We couldn't stop laughing. This is by far the funniest video of her yet, because she came out of nowhere to show us some moves.

Makaia has decided that she finally likes her swing...now that she is almost too old for it!

It was cold today so we took the opportunity to dress her in our new favorite outfit. We couldn't stop hugging her because she is so cuddly.

Another cute video of Makaia. She is touching/hitting one of the ornaments on the tree. She will be 10 months old on the 15th, which is unbelievable!

1st Christmas Tree

Makaia got her first glance at a Christmas tree when we put up our fake one this week (we were afraid she would eat a real tree.) She seemed to be afraid of it at first but as I write this blog, that no longer seems to be the case. Hopefully, she won't tear it down! She is mesmorized by it.
Oh....she also learned to wave last Friday. You will see her wave at the tree in this video :) which is the cutest part of all!!!

Happy Thanksgiving

We went to John's family's for the day for Thanksgiving. We had so much fun getting together with everyone for the holiday. My parents and Grandma drove down and joined us, which was really nice. Makaia got to spend time with her cousin and she watched her first "Baby Einstein" video with him.
